A couple-ish weeks ago, I did a review on some body products from 100% Pure. I got some amazing Blood Orange Body Scrub and some great Virgin Coconut Hand Buttercream which has been wonderful for this dry winter weather. They smell soooooo good. With all of my allergies to chemicals, I've been using products that don't have much of a scent, if any. 100% Pure's products were a breath of fresh air. I wrote them, letting 100% Pure know how happy I was with their products and aaaalso happened to notice that they have a line of lavender products. I. LOVE. LAVENDER. I actually did a post on the benefits of lavender. It's one of the most effective herbs, it smells lovely, and is SO relaxing among a bunch of other benefits. I love my signature lavender facial I came up with ;-)
The ultra awesome folks at 100% Pure decided to send me a few lavender products after hearing how happy I was to see that they carry them. I was SO excited! They're like my fairy godmother of body products. I'm very grateful :-) A big thank you to them! The fact that these deliciously smelling products don't bother my skin has been such a treat. Their natural, vegan products ROCK.
Onto the products.
They sent me...
Which I LOVE. It's been great on my skin and having that lovely lavender smell right against my face is just what I need right before falling into bed at night. It kinda looks like thin mud (hence the sea in the name, like seaweed) but the scent is divine. It hasn't dried my skin out or irritated it at all. Score!
Seaweeds (Kelp, Sea Lettuce, Spirulina),Green Tea, French Green Sea Clay, Saponified Coconut Oil, Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Sea Buckthorn Oil, Rosehip Oil, Extracts of Pomegranate, Grapefruit Seed and Rosemary, Lavender Essential Oil, Extracts of Cinnamon, Thyme, Goldenseal and Oregano
I love this as well. NOT shocking since I'm obsessed with lavender. I've used this on my face and body and have absolutely no complaints. It's creamy, it's soft, and leaves no residue. It also smells completely wonderful. This would be especially great in a guest bathroom with that lovely scent.
Saponified Oils of Cocos Nucifera (Virgin Coconut), Olea Europaea Fruit (Extra Virgin Olive), Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed and Vitis Vinifera Seed (Grapeseed), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado Butter), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Lavandula Augustifolia (Lavender) Essential Oil
Now, the thing with this cleanser is I actually suggested this item to the very nice lady I was emailing with. However, when I received it, I saw that it contains witch hazel which I react to due to my gallate allergy. I never understood why witch hazel would make my skin redden, but after I was diagnosed with my allergies and I did some research on gallates, I found out that witch hazel falls into that group.
I figured that I somehow overlooked the witch hazel in the ingredients, but it turns out it's really not there:
Here are the ingredients on the package:
I wrote 100% Pure and let them know about what happened; including that I hope a bit more attention will be paid to listing the correct ingredients on the website as the people going to their website are probably going there because of the focus on the ingredients.
But I'm going to turn this around and do a giveaway for those who aren't allergic to witch hazel!
