Product Review: Amy's Roasted Vegetable Pizza with No Cheese

After developing my lactose intolerance, I wasn't too thrilled about having to give up pizza. Then I found Amy's Roasted Vegetable Pizza with No Cheese! I got mine at Whole Foods, but I know they carry Amy's in other grocery stores as well. Now that I'm avoiding wheat because of the nickel content, I won't be eating this pizza anymore either. I still want to share it with you though:

My hunny made an appearance too:

He also took part in the taste testing ;-)

I love artichokes and sweet onions, which are on this pizza along with shitake mushrooms and red peppers, but hooonestly I wasn't sure how I was going to like it. I mean, no cheese??? I dunno about that...

BUT...

It was SO tasty!!

  • The roasted vegetables were the PERFECT thing to have on this pizza. They were roasted JUST right and the flavor was rich
  • The sweet onion sauce was ridiculous. Who knew that a sweet sauce could be SO good on pizza?
  • The crust was great - not too thin and not too doughy

These are the ingredients:

(Vegan) Organic unbleached wheat flour with organic wheat germ and organic wheat bran, organic onions, filtered water, artichokes, extra virgin olive oil, organic roasted red peppers, organic shiitake mushrooms, organic agave nectar, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, organic tomato puree, expeller pressed high oleic safflower and/or sunflower oil, organic evaporated cane juice, organic garlic, organic lemon juice, yeast, spices*, black pepper. Contains wheat.*100% pure herbs & spices (no hidden ingredients)

Overall, I give it two thumbs up. We both really liked it, actually! I could have eaten two of them.

This is definitely a great pizza for anyone who needs to avoid lactose.
