Avoiding Nickel and Plastic: at The Gym

One of my hobbies is taking a trip to the gym and sweatin' it out. However, this poses a problem for people with nickel and plastic allergies. The heartbeat sensors on the elliptical are metal, the pins that hold the weights on machines are metal and there's also plastic handles on a lot of the weight machines. My hands are particularly sensitive.

I'll tell you one thing though - getting hot and sweaty while wearing thin cotton gloves? Not fun. It makes the room feel even hotter. So what's my solution?

Cotton bandannas!

I cut them up and I'll drape it over any handles I have to touch, or use it to change the pins on the weight machines. It's much more fashionable for the gym than white gloves AND your hands won't be roasting!
